  • We will teach this as a big group, this may take a longer time as we are leaning more phrases than just single words.

Lesson 6: Describing your home/ or a building (15th march)

  • We will start the lesson how we always do by going over what we have learned, I will do this today by going round the class one by one and asking them what they did on the weekend in BSL to encourage them to show me what they have remembered.
  • Todays lesson will look into the description of a familiar building such as your house or someone else’s home.
  • I will teach them the rooms in their house such as;
  • Kitchen, Living room, Bedroom, Hallway, Stairs, Bathroom, Snug, Study

After learning these words, I will then teach them how to put this into context while taking about the layout of your own home.
This may be a slightly harder lesson as its more about opening up your mind and being descriptive rather than signing word for word.
